Are you coming to Milan for the Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone but you are still looking for a place to stay? Here you can find 7 places for all budgets!
Let me say just one thing, Milan is expensive, very expensive, but besides the usual “big” once there are some special places. This is my selection where to stay in Milan.
Madama
Via Benaco 1
Madama is a cozy hostel and very nice bistrot in Porta Romana area, just few steps from Fondazione Prada. Here you can stay or just eat something and you’ll feel like being at home.
Casa BASE
Via Bergognone, 34
CasaBASE is situated in Zona Tortona with many Fuorisalone events. It is part of BASE, multidisciplinary center that hosts exhibitions, meetings and events. You’ll find here welcoming atmosphere with modern furniture from ’50s and ’60s and contemporary design.
Ostello Bello
Via Medici 4
Ostello Bello won the Hostelworld Best Hostel in Italy. It is located in the very city center, between those narrow streets you would never imagine to find in Milan, 5vie district.
There are two Ostello Bello in town: there is another one near Stazione Centrale, “Ostello Bello Grande”, via Roberto Lepetit, 33.
Adorabile B&B
Via Bramante, 14
“Adorabile” means adorable and that’s it by name and fact: every room is different has wonderful wallpapers and tells a traditional milanese story! A mix of ’30s furniture and design.
Adorable is located near the Brera district, Isola area and Paolo Sarpi (Milan’s Chinatown, every day more and more fashionable!).
NHow
Via Tortona, 35
This used to be an industrial building now it’s converted into a hotel, NHow is famous in town for events and contemporary atmosphere. Tortona area.
NYX Hotel
Piazza Quattro Novembre, 3
Opened few months ago, NYX is a 4-star hotel near Stazione Centrale. The interiors are focused on art and design. They called 13 Italian street artist to transform hallways and common areas with colorful graffiti.
Design Hostel
via Consenz 44/4
In Bovisa area, North of the city, Design Hostel will be open just for the week of Fuorisalone 2017. A temporary hostel for the creativity to keep together designers and their creations, 40 rooms for designers (and bloggers).
The hostel will be open from April 1-9, public opening 4-9 with exhibitions, events, workshops and talks (10.30-00.30). Free admission.
