I had a lot of fun imagining a fun table set for a Mad Hatter-style tea. You just need to cut and paste to transform old anonymous and unmatched plates into something new and playful.

Not just plats: have fun decorating cups, mugs, small trays… just play with shapes, and colors to surprise your guests! These new DIY creations will be perfect for cake or cookies on your table.

One extra tip: choose “solid” plastic animals to make your cake stand more stable.
You can use animal toys with a hollow interior to add decorations to cups and saucers. Or you can fill the cavity with liquid concrete or modeling paste in order to make them heavier and therefore more stable.
