Japan has started the China invasion… at least in terms of style!
At the beginning of this year Muji opened its first hotel in Shenzhen, a metropolis in the south of China, a few steps from Hong Kong that became within just 30 years, from a small fishing village of 300,000, a megacity of 14 million with a incredibly rapid urban growth.
This was the first Muji hotel in the world. They took their own principles to the hotellerie area: low prices, quality design, no unnecessary services.
In the hotel there are a restaurant – the Muji Diner, a Muji shop, a gym, a bookshop and minimal but super cozy and relaxing rooms.
All the furniture and accessories are obviously signed by Muji from toothbrushes to CD players, bedsheets, cups and teapots.
Prices range starts from about € 100 per night to go up.
The upcoming opening is already scheduled for Beijing this summer and the great opening in Japan in spring 2019, right in Tokyo’s most fashionable district: in Ginza.
