Basketball courts transformed into colorful abstract paintings

This post is also available in Italiano

Art meets sports. This is the beautiful initiative by the USA Project Backboard association restyling basketball courts that require care and transforms them into works of art thanks to collaborations with various artists.

The last one is the Kinloch Park park in the suburbs of St. Louis. The artist involved in this project is William LaChance, an American artist who creates colorful and large-format paintings.

“The art side exists to create the energy and excitement that’s going to cause this park to actually become a center of community interaction—it’s the glue that brings everyone together around a court.” Daniel Peterson, Project Backboard founder
