Ferm Living is a famous Danish furniture brand that exports Nordic style to homes around the world.
After years of exclusive online sales, last September Ferm Living opened his first store-showroom in Copenhagen: 450sqm between the picturesque canals of the city, near the Christiania freetown area.
A historic building from 1770 originally used as a military arsenal, the beautiful space was left in rustic style with exposed wooden beams that today is the setting for contemporary design furniture and home accessories inspired by the Nordic style.
Due to the Covid-19 emergency, the store is temporarily closed but we can take a virtual tour of the boutique-store on the Ferm Living website.
Obviously, if you spot something that you like… you can find everything on the Ferm Living on-line shop!
Entering the Ferm Living Home is just like entering in a beautiful house: the boutique is organized by zones, entrance, dining room, office, living room, kitchen, bathroom… just to help us imagine our spaces, find inspiration and take notes of all the ideas.
There is also a Material Library, a space open to the public, where design and create interior projects with access to materials, color charts, furniture miniatures and models of their pieces of furniture where everyone can design his own space and even have fun creating inspirational mood board!
The ability of Ferm Living was having combined the Nordic lifestyle, the famous Hygge, with neutral tones, the importance of light, natural materials, to international craftsmanship. This is how the collections of ceramics, fabrics, and cushions were born, being able to characterize and make cozy rooms all over the world.
“A home, after all, is much more than a collection of beautiful objects – it’s the place where life happens.”
Trine Andersen, Ferm Living Founder and Creative Director
Are you also ready to move to the Ferm Living store in Copenhagen?! I love it!
Another very nice thing I’ve found on the Ferm Living website is the city guide of Copenhagen with their advice on what to do, what to eat, where to go … illustrated by beautiful watercolors!
A nice way to travel, at least virtually, while waiting to be able to do it again in person!
