Maison&Objet is the design fair held twice a year in Paris dedicated to interiors and decoration, one of the most important and recognized events in the field.

Every year, the fair proclaims the designer of the year and this year they named Cecilie Manz, Danish designer with an unmistakable Nordic style.

Cecilie is from Copenhagen and here are her 5 tips to visit the city:

“It is always difficult to choose the favorite places in your city. But if I have to recommend something to Copenhagen…”

Rundertån

A round tower in the center of the city. The climb up to the top is incredible: a single spiral walkway, built in this way to allow the king to get on top by the horse. The perfect place for a wonderful view over the roofs of Copenhagen.

Kongens Have

The “King’s garden” is the largest public park in Copenhagen, right behind my studio.

Thorvaldsens Museum

I really like the use of natural colors both inside and outside the museum dedicated to the Danish neoclassical painter and sculptor. The whole building is like a big painting.

Coffee Collective

There are several Coffee Collective cafés around Copenhagen, the first opened was in a basement in Jægersborggade, in the district of Nørrebro. The perfect place for a coffee break.

Bike rides

The best way to visit Copenhagen? Rent a bike and explore the city!
