The TWA terminal designed by Eero Saarinen at the JFK airport in New York is the most iconic symbol of the Jet Age and today reopens and becomes a hotel.
Outsized for modern air traffic, it remained closed and abandoned for many years.
Three years ago, during a stopover in New York, we had the great fortune to visit it.
The TWA Hotel accept reservations beginning from today. You can stay there for a true Mad Men experience.
Rooms rates start at $ 249 per night.
The visiting to the new TWA terminal is a beautiful opportunity for architecture and Space Age design enthusiasts, for those who love the 60s but also for aviation enthusiasts like my husband!
Inside the terminal, besides the hotel there will be shops, bars and a restaurant… a good opportunity to visit it is also during a few hours’ stop over at the JFK airport in New York.
