In Milan there is a new place for art: Osservatorio by Fondazione Prada located in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
This will be a space entirely dedicated to contemporary photography. The entrance is just near the man Prada store in Galleria. On the mezzanine floor there is a new location of Pasticceria Marchesi, the perfect place to have a coffee or tea.
Osservatorio is on the 5th and 6th floor. From wide glass window you’ll have a beautiful and unusual view on the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Osservatorio is located above the central octagon, at the level of the glass and iron dome that covers the arcades, built between 1865 and 1867. The view is the real beauty here!
I love the floor: it has been realized employing the wood from the original flooring
The current exhibition is “Give Me Yesterday”, until March,12.
Tickets: 10 €/8 € (students under 26, FAI card holders, carers/companions to visitors with disabilities, groups of 15-25 people), free admission (visitors under the age of 18 or over the age of 65, visitors with disabilities, journalists).
Admission to Osservatorio allows one free entrance to Fondazione Prada (Largo Isarco, 2) within 7 days.
