DIY crochet espadrillas
Do you remeber the knitting kit by Wool and The Gang I used to knit my pink boho cushion? You can find on-line a Spring/Summer collection… who said that knitting is just a Winter thing?
In the Ipanema Espadrilles kit you’ll find everything you need: mixtape yarn upcycled from t-shirt scrapes, espadrilles soles, crochet hook, needle, thread and espadrilles pattern.
Do not be afraid, this project is perfect for crochet beginners too!
The easiest way to make them is to follow the on-line tutorial step by step. The great Jenny will guide you in real time. It will be like crochet your espadrillas with a friend: one afternoon, coffee and snacks together and they will be ready!

Stitches required to create the crochet espadrillas are basic stitches: double crochet and single crochet. I assure you that my crochet was a bit rusty but the Wool and The Gang’s tutorials are great, they will help you explaining every single stitch again and again, they are in English but don’t worry, videos will be perfect even without sound!
Once you’ll have the crochet parts done, it will be time to put them together with soles with needle and thread. It’s veeery simple! Et voilà, soon you’ll be ready to wear your crochet espadrillas!
