Un’idea per il week-end per sfuggire al caldo che finalmente è arrivato anche a Milano? Una bella mostra alla Triennale: No name design. La collezione di oggetti “anonimi” del designer Franco Clivio. Oggetti quotidiani disegnati con perfezione tecnica e funzionalità. Esempi perfetti di buona forma, atta allo scopo ma che non tralascia l’estetica. State certi che tra questi non ci sono oggetti inutili! Ingresso libero. Fino al 14 settembre.

Prima delle Reflex, GoPro, Lomo varie… la macchina fotografica Compass del 1937. Prodotto da Jaeger-LeCoultre su progetto di Noel Pemberton-Billing. L’estetica è moderna e super compatta. Probabilmente in quegli anni era anche usata dagli 007.

La Curta, calcolatrice meccanica del 1938 inventata da Curt Herzstark. Incredibilmente semplice e allo stesso tempo complessa! Viene prodotta fino al 1972.

Il magnetofono Nagra, anni ’50. Qualità estetica e tecnica straordinaria. Usato per le imprese più diverse, dalla conquista dell’Everest a quella della luna.

Un altro collezionista di oggetti semplici nonché mito del design è Achille Castiglioni. Visitando il suo studio museo si può ammirare la collezione sterminata di oggetti umili e geniali. Lui che con il fratello Pier Giacomo ha inventato un piccolo oggetto che senza saperne le origini è entrato nelle case di tutti: l’interruttore rompitratta, disegnato nel 1968 per Vlm. Facile da produrre, economico e funzionale. Un oggetto senza nome ma per tutti.
Queste collezioni hanno un’anima, raccontano un’epoca, dimostrano l’ingegno vero e autentico. Meravigliosa e significativa la frase di Castiglioni “Gli oggetti devono fare compagnia“.
Another big collector of these simple objects is the great designer Achille Castiglioni. If you visit his studio/museum you can see his collection with so many modest but brilliant objects. Achille Castiglioni with his brother Pier Giacomo designed a small object that entered in everyone homes: the switch, designed in 1968 for Vlm. Simple production, cheap and functional. An object for everyone.
There is the soul in these collections: they talk about time and the real brilliance. Beautiful this quote by Achille Castiglioni: “Objects have to keep company”.
