In this infinite quarantine we are all experiencing the desire to go out and being surrounded by nature. Today I’ll take you on a virtual tour to visit a wonderful house in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on the island of Pico, in the Azores.
The Azores are an autonomous region of Portugal, a piece of Europe in the middle of the ocean. Lush nature, ocean, mountains, volcanoes, lakes, hot springs, good food… the Azores are the perfect place for those who love nature.
We visited Azores a couple of years ago and we loved them! We were lucky enough to see them with Hydrangea and Agapanthus in full bloom! Azores are the paradise for plant lovers!
Pico is the second largest island in the archipelago with 14,000 inhabitants and takes its name from its volcano Ponta do Pico, the highest peak not only in the Azores but also in the entire Portugal!
This amazing villa is part of a project of five forest homes and three cottages on the north coast of the island. No huge size: 100sqm (+ 15sqm of terrace), one bedroom and one bathroom, the luxury is being immersed in nature with a wonderful view of the ocean!
Modern architecture, high energy efficiency rating and low environmental impact with large full-length windows, and a beautiful framed view. They used local materials such as basalt stone and clay roof tiles to celebrate the heritage of the island as well as complement the landscape.
Are you wondering about the price? Starting from 250 thousand euros. Here you can find more info.
PS: the project is under construction, these images are renders, houses will on sale fully equipped and furnished!
