Programmi per il weekend? Vorrei avere il dono dell’ubiquità, ci sono così tante cose da fare e da vedere in questi giorni! Siamo in partenza per Basilea, andremo a vedere la fiera Art Basel e Design Miami/Design. Non vedo l’ora!

Weekend plans? I wish I had the ubiquity gift, there are so many things to do and see in these days! We are leaving for Basel to visit the Art Basel fair and Design Miami / Design. I can’t wait!

A Basilea ci sono tantissimi eventi in programma, fiere collaterali, mostre, musei… tantissime cose da vedere! E poi c’è il Vitra Campus.
Vitra non sbaglia un colpo, è una delle azienda più illuminate che esistano e ancora un volta si conferma tale!

A inizio giugno Vitra ha inaugurato il nuovo edificio Schaudepot Design Museum, firmato da Herzog & de Meuron, interamente dedicato ad ospitare la collezione di oltre 7000 pezzi di design del Novecento. Non vedo l’ora di vederlo!

In Basel there are plenty of events planned, collateral fairs, exhibitions, museums… so many things to see! And then there’s the Vitra Campus.
Vitra does not miss a beat, it is one of the best company and once again they did great!

In early June Vitra opened the new Schaudepot Design Museum, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, entirely dedicated to house the collection of over 7000 pieces of twentieth century design. I can’t wait to visit it!

Sempre al Vitra Campus in occasione di Art Basel si tiene l’omaggio a Zaha Hadid: all’interno della sua “caserma dei pompieri” i fratelli Bouroullec hanno realizzato un’installazione con oltre 120 vasi di fiori. Sarà uno spettacolo commuovente!

Altra installazione da non perdere è quella in collaborazione con mt masking tape: oltre 5000 rotolini (triangolari!) di washi tape appesi al centro della Buckminster-Fuller Dôme, la cupola geodetica che si trova al Vitra Campus. Qui su CasaFacile trovate di più.

During Art Basel the Vitra Campus is hosting some very interesting events such as “For Zaha”, an installation in memory of Zaha Hadid at her Fire Station at the Vitra Campus, curated by the Bouroullec brothers with over 120 flower-filled vases. It will be a heart-warming sight!

Another not-to-be-missed installation is the one realized in collaboration with mt masking tape: over 5000 washi tapes hanging from the center of the Buckminster Fuller Dome at the Vitra Campus. You can read more here on CasaFacile website.

Altro super evento a cui vorrei essere se disponessi del dono dell’ubiquità è l’apertura al pubblico dell‘installazione di Christo sul lago d’Iseo, The Floating Piers, l’opera d’arte più attesa dell’anno. Si camminerà letteralmente sull’acqua!

There is more… the installation Floating Piers by Christo on Iseo Lake will be open on Saturday. This is the most awaited work of art of the year. You can literally walk on water!
