Sunday there was a big Marni event at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan: it was like the first day of Spring instead of the first one of Autumn! A great event with flowers and plants. It was crowded with fashion people and milanese ladies. A Sunday afternoon with green desire mixed with the fashion week.

There were gardening aprons that can become bags – you can stay cool even while you are re-potting or trimming – aromatic herbs in very fashionable Marni (plastic) bags, bunches of flowers wrapped in paper with beautiful patterns. Super nice and fun animals in colorful wire and plastic, perfect terraces and gardens ornaments.

It was not just a show, everything was on sale: great excitement of the crowd! You know, people love shopping! Part of the incoming was for charity. Would you like to have an idea about prices? A little plastic bag 90 € plus 5 € for the aromatic plant. Wire animals about 300 €.

Milanese people starve for green and some nature and the Rotonda della Besana is a beautiful location in the center of Milan. Under the arcade there was the kids area with activities like decorating cardboard with colors and buttons (is it possible they were Marni buttons?!) Everyone went out for the beautiful sunny day, the fashion event attracted them and bags and flowers made it happen!

The final result was gorgeous, very charmy and fashionable, I just didn’t understand why they made it in Autumn and not during the fashion week in Spring… all those plants and gardening accessories will have short life on milanese terrace! Is also true that this was the spring/summer fashion week… but you know.. The fashion world rules are always weird to me! For sure people purchesed and spent a lot… charity mission accomplished!

The best thing I’ve seen there? The wrapping paper for flowers, some tissue with beautiful patterns and wire animals!

Ci devo lavorare! Stay tuned!

Of course this was for charity purpose but there were lots of things that inspired me for easy DIY! I have to work on them! Stay tuned!
