Vasi realizzati con le matite

Il legno è il materiale d’elezione per il design nordico, non stupisce quindi la scelta di questo materiali per i vasi Amalgated del designer finlandese Tuomas Markunpoika.
Con uno sguardo più attento possiamo però capire di cosa sono realmente fatti: matite! Non è semplice legno, i vasi sono creati incollando insieme tante matite e poi passando il tutto al tornio.
Le matite acquistano una nuova identità! È un’ottima ispirazione… pensate alla scatola di matite da cui da piccoli non ci separavamo… si potrebbe trasformarle in una scultura, un monumento alla nostra infanzia al profumo di matite temperate! 😉

Wood is the material of election for Scandinavian design. No wonder then looking these wooden vases “Amalgated” by the Finnish designer Tuomas Markunpoika. But if you get a closer look you’ll immediately understand that they are made with pencils! It is not simple wood, Tuomas Markunpoika created the Amalgated collection glued together many pencils and then machined with a lathe.
He gave pencils a new identity! It’s a great inspiration … think about the box of pencils from which we didn’t get separated when we were kids… we could turn them into a sculpture, a monument to our childhood that smelled of sharpened pencils! 😉
