I’ve already told you about the amazing installation by Lexus during the Fuorisalone. Today I’m telling you more about the Lexus Design Award. This year the theme was the 5 senses. 12 finalist projects, 4 prototypes. This award is really great not just for the research but also because Lexus allow the young designer to work together with famous and prominent designers. This year the mentors were: Max Lamb, Robin Hunicke, Arthur Huang, Lyndon Neri & Rossana Hu.

The winners are Italian: Emanuela Corti e Ivan Parati with Sensewear, a collection of garments and accessories that emphasize use of human senses. This is an amazing project because they can be very useful to people with non-regular sensory activities and neurodevelopment disorders too. Sensewear is a fashion collection inspired by sensory therapies addressed to sensory processing disorder, often associated with autism and a wide range of conditions.
