Sometime I immediately feel something for a design project, a simple detail can\u00a0attract my attention and I want to know more.
\nThis is what happened with\u00a0this project by the French designer C\u00e9dric Canaud<\/strong><\/a> “Le Stylobate, Le Reposant, La T\u00eate, Le Bloc d\u2019H\u00e9rodote and Le Plis”. It is a collection of modular elements<\/strong>. In Classical Greek architecture “stylobate” is\u00a0the stepped platform at the base of the column, from the Greek \u03c3\u03c4\u03c5\u03bb\u03bf\u03c2 “column” and \u03b2\u03ac\u03c3\u03b9\u03c2 “base” (let me show what I learned during my high school years!).<\/p>\n

It starts with the simple and linear structure of the seat and then you can create your own configuration according to your habits<\/strong>:\u00a05 elements interrelated answering to one question or a need and linked to the seated of the installed body, resting or in activity.

In our days\u00a0we must always be connected, we are “friends” even if just online, we share our life, we do not want to be excluded from the others lives, same trends run all over the world but at the same time we want to speak up, emerge and make us recognizable. Personalization and customization becomes the real trend.<\/strong> With “Le Stylobate…” everyone creates his own way to sit, his “environment” where relax, his “personal” object.
