You do\u00a0have for sure old objects that you don’t use anymore. Don’t\u00a0throw them away, turn them into pots for succulent plants! An easy and fun\u00a0creative recycling project!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve kept for years an old moka pot waiting for the right idea: I’ve turned it into an unusual and fun succulent\u00a0pot! I made it during a very nice workshop I had with the Italian Magazine CasaFacile and Iper<\/a>. A\u00a0very simple and low cost project: you’ll\u00a0give your old objects a second life.<\/strong>

What you need<\/strong>
\nSomething to recycle
\nexpanded clay or loose gravel
\nsoil
\nsucculent plants<\/p>\n

First thing to do: find a container or an object that you do not longer use, more unexpected it is better will be the result, we are talking about creative recycling<\/strong>!
\nThen get some succulent.<\/p>\n

Prepare your pot: you can decide to drill the bottom but keep in mind that succulent\u00a0need very little water!<\/strong><\/p>\n

To avoid water stagnation\u00a0put some\u00a0expanded clay at the bottom of the pot<\/strong>\u00a0and add some soil.<\/p>\n

Free roots from soil (if the soil is dry the process will be much quicker and easier) and\u00a0begin your composition. Try to make it\u00a0nice and\u00a0packed, the result will be better and do not worry about the plants: they need little soil.

Best thing\u00a0of succulent plants is that they propagate very easily<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0you can take little pieces\u00a0and add them directly to your composition. Detach\u00a0a sprig and it\u00a0will make\u00a0new roots. Sedum plants<\/strong> are the best for this!<\/p>\n

Mix\u00a0heights and colors of plants<\/strong> and you’ll composition will be very nice!<\/p>\n
