Why did Giorgio Mondadori (son of Arnoldo) call the Brazilian architect?<\/p>\n<p>In the mid-sixties, Mondadori publisher needed more space\u00a0and Arnoldo Mondadori and his son Giorgio were looking for\u00a0the perfect project. <strong>During a trip to South America Giorgio Mondadori was\u00a0literally struck by the Itamaraty Palace<\/strong>, the\u00a0headquarters of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil. The Palace of the Arches, as the entire city, was designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer.
