Marted\u00ec sono stata invitata da Valagro, azienda italiana del settore gardening molto concentrata sulla ricerca e lo sviluppo, ad un pomeriggio davvero interessante al Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica di Milano.<\/p>\n

Tuesday I was invited by Valagro, Italian company of the gardening area very focused on the research, to a very interesting afternoon at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ci hanno spiegato il loro prodotto il cui segreto sembra essere un’alga del Mare del Nord: l’Ascophyllum nodosum. L’Ascophyllum \u00e8 un’alga molto particolare che cresce nei mari del Nord – me le ricordo benissimo in Islanda<\/a> – in condizioni molto difficili: crescendo in acqua bassa sono soggette alle maree, parte del tempo vivono sott’acqua e parte fuori dall’acqua.<\/p>\n

They told us that the secret of their product is an alga of the North Sea: the Ascophyllum nodosum. The Ascophyllum is a very specific kind of alga of\u00a0Northern Sea – I saw it in Iceland<\/a> – in very hard conditions. They live in low water, sometimes under the water, sometimes outside\u00a0the water.<\/em><\/p>\n

La pianta per resistere a queste condizioni molto rigide produce delle sostanze particolari che la aiutano a superare lo stress. Valagro raccoglie le alghe in Norvegia mietendone dei veri e \u00a0propri campi. Le propriet\u00e0 di questo fertilizzante permette di stimolare la pianta e riuscire a rendere al massimo le risorse della pianta.<\/p>\n

The plant can resist to the stress producing very specific substance. Valagro picks up algae in Norway in real fields. The Valagro fertilizer helps plants to use their resources in the best way.<\/em><\/p>\n

Con un gruppo di blogger e giornaliste \u00e8 stato molto divertente fare dei piccoli esperimenti scientifici all’interno di un laboratorio del museo.<\/p>\n

It was very fun making some scientific experiments with other bloggers and journalists in one of the Museum labs.<\/em><\/p>\n

We have tried to boil petals and watching them with the microscope.<\/em><\/p>\n

Abbiamo usato anche un interessantissimo microscopio “artigianale” realizzato con una lente di un puntatore led che \u00e8 possibile utilizzarlo con la telecamera dell’iPhone!<\/p>\n

We have tried also a very interesting DIY microscope, they made it using a lens from a laser pointer and you can use it with the iPhone camera!<\/em><\/p>\n
