Come vi avevo anticipato la scorsa settimana, venerd\u00ec sono andata a Torino<\/strong> all’apertura di Operae<\/strong>, il festival del design indipendente giunto quest’anno alla sua quinta edizione. La location quest’anno \u00e8 stata Torino Esposizioni, uno spazio sicuramente d’effetto, progetto del 1936 di Ettore Sottsass senior poi affiancato da Pier Luigi Nervi. Il padiglione in disuso da anni finalmente\u00a0\u00e8 tornato a vivere. Speriamo sia l’inizio di una bella rinascita.<\/p>\n

As I mentioned you last week Friday I was in Turin<\/strong> for the\u00a0opening of Operae<\/strong>, the independent design festival. This was the\u00a0fifth edition of the festival. The location this year was Torino Esposizioni, architecture with\u00a0great charm. It was designed in 1936 by Ettore Sottsass senior and Pier Luigi Nervi. The location was been closed for years. Finally it’s back to life, I hope this would be the first of many events.<\/em><\/p>\n

Molto interessante la mostra “Piemonte Handmade”<\/strong>, oggetti e immagini di imprese artigiane locali. Storie di passioni, tecnica, ricerca e saper fare. Oggetti dell’attivit\u00e0 quotidiana che portano in s\u00e9 una bellezza intrinseca.<\/p>\n

The exhibition “Piemonte Handmade<\/strong>” was very interesting, objects and images\u00a0of local artisans. Stories of passion, technique, research and know-how. Daily objects beautiful and interesting.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bellissima la grafica coordinata che accompagna tutto dal catalogo all’allestimento dove “Explore” \u00e8 il motto. Una foresta urbana dove scoprire i talenti creativi del saper fare.<\/p>\n

This year the graphic is beautiful, coordinated everywhere: from catalogue to the set-up. “Explore” is the motto. An urban forest where find out creative talents with\u00a0know-how.<\/em><\/p>\n

Piccola ma con cose assolutamente interessanti la parte di editoria indipendente<\/strong>. Sono rimasta letteralmente ipnotizzata da alcune chicche che esponeva Print About Me<\/a>. L’illusione ottica di una lente rossa che fa vivere le pagine del libro “24 Senza Testa”. Semplice ma bellissimo il Giracolore di Raffaele Cesano. Una magia che ci fa tornare immediatamente bambini curiosi!<\/p>\n

The self-produced publishing<\/strong>\u00a0area was very small but with very interesting things. I was really hypnotized by something exhibited by Print About Me<\/a>. A red lens reveals pages from the book “24 Senza Testa”. Super simple but beautiful is the Giracolore by Raffaele Cesano. Looking at this everyone can get back to childhood!<\/em><\/p>\n

Per la ceramica: molto delicate e finissime le cose di Giovelab<\/a> di Trento. Bellissimi anche i tavoli dove le ceramiche erano esposte realizzati con gambe in legno e piani in cemento di Lab Materie e Idee.<\/p>\n
