Finally it’s Friday, if are you looking for an idea for the week-end in Milan: the exhibition “Yves Klein Lucio Fontana. Milan Paris 1957-1962<\/strong>“, Museo del Novecento, until\u00a0March, 15\u00a02015.<\/em><\/p>\n

1957-1962<\/strong>, solo 5 anni ma anni davvero intensi.\u00a0Nel gennaio 1957<\/strong> Yves Klein<\/strong> tiene la prima personale<\/strong> alla Galleria Apollinaire di Milano<\/strong>. Dino Buzzati scrivendo un resoconto dell’inaugurazione dice che sono stati venduti solo due monocromi, l’acquirente di uno dei due \u00e8 proprio Lucio Fontana. Da questo momento fino alla prematura morte di Klein<\/strong> avvenuta nel 1962<\/strong> i due artisti diventano amici e il loro percorso artistico si incrocia pi\u00f9 volte.<\/p>\n

1957-1962<\/strong>, just 5 years but these were very intense. In January 1957<\/strong> Yves Klein had his first solo show in Milan<\/strong> at the Apollinaire Gallery. Dino Buzzati reported about the opening and he said that just two monochromes were sold: one of those two buyers was Lucio Fontana. Since then to the premature death\u00a0of Klein in 1962<\/strong> they become friends and their artistic works joined several times.<\/em><\/p>\n

La mostra si snoda per tutto il museo, ecco, forse questo rende il tutto un po’ disconnesso\u2026 ma permette sicuramente di rifare un bellissimo giro tra i maestri del Novecento italiano. Per me \u00e8 sempre bello rivedere in particolare Margherita\u2026 uno dei miei quadri preferiti in assoluto, di Antonio Donghi.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is shown all over the museum, yes maybe this choice is a little bit arduous but surely it allow you to have a beautiful walk between amazing artworks of the XIX Century Italian masters. Everytime it’s awesome meeting Margherita\u2026 one of my favorite painting, by Antonio Donghi.<\/em><\/p>\n

Molto interessante \u00e8 la parte di documentazione relativa a Yves Klein e Lucio Fontana. C’\u00e8 persino l’indirizzario di Klein del 1959 con l’indirizzo dello\u00a0studio di Lucio Fontana!<\/p>\n

Very interesting are papers and documents about Yves Klein and Lucio Fontana. There is even the Klein’s address book from 1959 with noted the address of the Lucio Fontana’ studio!<\/em><\/p>\n

Molto interessante \u00e8 anche il parallelismo cromatico: il blu, l’oro e il rosa<\/strong>. Non si pu\u00f2 fare a meno di pensare a entrambi come emblemi di questi colori: il blu Klein ma anche certamente il rosa delle Fine di Dio<\/em> di Fontana. Incredibile \u00e8 una tela “bucata” retroilluminata di Lucio Fontana. Una vera costellazione all’interno del suo universo artistico.<\/p>\n

The color parallelism between Klein and Fontana is very interesting: blue, gold and pink<\/strong>. They are representative of those colors: blue Klein but also the pink from “Fine di Dio” by Fontana. I loved the backlit “punched” canvas. A real constellation in his artistic universe.<\/em><\/p>\n

In mostra \u00e8 anche presente un ex voto che Klein, molto devoto in privato, ha offerto a Santa Rita da Cascia: materiali che rappresentano\u00a0i suoi lavori\u00a0e colori con una preghiera\u00a0commuovente: “Ti chiedo di intercedere per la grazia di animare le mie opere perch\u00e9 esse divengano sempre pi\u00f9 belle e inoltre la grazia che io scopra continuamente e regolarmente sempre nuove cose nell’arte ogni volta pi\u00f9 belle, anche se purtroppo non sempre sono degno di essere un utensile per costruire e creare la Grande Bellezza. Che tutto ci\u00f2 che viene da me sia Bello. Cos\u00ec sia.”<\/p>\n

In the exhibition there is also an Yves Klein ex-voto to Saint Rita of Cascia, he was privately faithful. “I ask you to intercede the grace of living in my works and that they may always become more beautiful, and that He may also grant me the grace that I may discover continually and regularly new things in art, each time more beautiful, even if, alas, I am not always worthy to be a tool for creating Great Beauty. May all that emerges from me be beautiful. So be it.”<\/em><\/p>\n
