Ciao a tutti! Vi racconto\u00a0cos’ho fatto e visto in questi 3 giorni londinesi<\/strong>! Visto che sono stati giorni davvero intensi saranno tre post<\/strong>, uno per giorno, oggi, domani e dopodomani!
\nEra un po’ di tempo che non sentivo la mancanza di Londra e come se lo volesse fare apposta si \u00e8 mostrata pi\u00f9 bella che mai<\/strong> con cielo azzurro e sole spettacolare! Ed eccomi di nuovo qui con il “mal-di-Londra”!<\/p>\n

Hello there! I want to tell you about my these\u00a03 days in London<\/strong>! They were really intense, so I’ve decide to tell you writing\u00a0three posts<\/strong>, one\u00a0for each day. You can read them today, tomorrow and Thursday!
\nLondon welcomed me\u00a0even more beautiful\u00a0than ever<\/strong>\u00a0with blue sky and awesome sunny days! And here I am again missing London!<\/em><\/p>\n

DAY 1.

Siamo partiti gioved\u00ec all’alba quindi ho avuto a disposizione tutta la giornata. Prima tappa: un saluto alla <\/span>mia vecchia amica Elisabetta<\/strong>! Attraverso St. James’s Park ho salutato anche il Big Ben e London Eye!<\/span><\/p>\n

We left very early on Thursday so I had a very long day. First stop: Hello Elisabeth, my old dear friend<\/strong>! Through St. James’s Park I’ve also seen the Big Ben and the London Eye!<\/em><\/p>\n

Passeggiando per Hyde Park<\/strong> sono arrivata alla Serpentine Sackler Gallery<\/a> dove ho visto la bellissima mostra di Julio Le Parc<\/strong>. Opere cinetiche e interattive: ho preso a pugni pungiball, ho giocato a freccette, ho attivato suoni lanciando palline, ho camminato tra gli specchi\u2026 Davvero molto interessante. La mostra \u00e8 aperta fino al 15 febbraio.
\nL’essere mancata per un po’ da Londra mi ha aiutato a notare cose su cui non mi ero mai soffermata cos\u00ec tanto: la Serpentine, come gli altri musei, ha ingresso gratuito<\/strong>. Sono luoghi vivi, non per turisti. Ci si va anche solo per un caff\u00e8. Sopratutto visto il meraviglioso caff\u00e8 della Serpentine!<\/p>\n

Walking through Hyde Park<\/strong> I went to the\u00a0Serpentine Sackler Gallery<\/a> where I’ve visited the beautiful exhibition of Julio Le Parc<\/strong>. Kinetic and interactive works: I’ve punched big pungiballs, I’ve played darts, I’ve launched balls, walked in a room with mirrors everywhere\u2026. Really interesting. The exhibition will be open till February, 15th.
\nThis time I’ve noticed several things I’ve never noticed before: the admission at the Serpentine Galleries, as the other museums, is\u00a0free<\/strong>. They are places for everyone, not just for tourists. You can also go there just to have a coffee\u2026 look at the amazing\u00a0<\/em>caf\u00e8 there is at Serpentine Sackler Gallery!<\/i><\/p>\n

Proseguendo nel parco sono arrivata all’altra sede della Serpentine Gallery<\/strong> dove ho visitato la mostra di Reiner Ruthenbeck<\/strong> (fino al 15 febbraio).
\nPassando poi per l’Albert Memorial<\/strong> ho fatto un giro per South Kensington<\/strong>.
\nAltra cosa che adoro \u00e8 vedere come scuole e teatri siano davvero vicini, contigui: il Royal Albert Hall<\/strong> si trova proprio davanti al Royal College of Music. E’ meraviglioso simbolicamente augurare agli studenti di attraversare la strada un giorno per entrare nel tempio della musica inglese.
\nPasseggiando un po’ a caso ho scoperto Prince’s Gate Mews<\/strong>: tre vie chiuse con casette colorate che sembrano uscite da un villaggio di campagna!<\/p>\n

I went then to the other Serpentine Gallery<\/strong> and I’ve seen the exhibition by Reiner Ruthenbeck<\/strong> (till February 15th).<\/em>
\nI’ve seen the Albert Memorial<\/strong> and have a nice walk in South Kensington<\/strong>.
\nI love seeing how school and theatre are so close here: the Royal Albert Hall<\/strong> is right in front of the Royal College of Music. Students \u00a0really can aspire to cross the road to see their dreams come true!<\/em>
\nGoing to the Victoria and Albert Museum I discovered a really nice place: Prince’s Gate Mews<\/strong>, three little street with colorful houses!<\/em><\/p>\n

Victoria and Albert Museum<\/a>, il museo pi\u00f9 importante al mondo dedicato alle arti applicate<\/strong>. Una miniera di ispirazioni! Meraviglioso! Si passeggia in enormi sale con calchi 1:1 delle opere pi\u00f9 svariate, dal David di Michelangelo al portone di San Petronio, Bologna; da una cuspide del Duomo di Milano al portale di Santiago, Compostela. E poi\u2026 vuoi non avere anche il calco della colonna Traiana? Perch\u00e9 no?! Davvero suggestivo.
\nMolto belle e complete le ali dedicate ai vari materiali: ferro, vetro, argento, tessuti, ceramica. La ceramica<\/strong> mi ha davvero colpita. Allestimento stupendo, vetrine infinite di oggetti divisi per aree geografiche. Meraviglioso lavoro di catalogazione e la cosa che pi\u00f9 mi ha scioccato: il museo \u00e8 un luogo dove si impara, si studia e quindi gli oggetti non sono incastonati nelle loro vetrine. Su richiesta (on-line) si possono richiedere e studiare dal vivo nell’apposita sala studio. Per noi italiani: fantascienza.<\/p>\n

The V&A Museum<\/a> is the world’s greatest museum of art and design<\/strong>. Really a treasure trove of inspiration. Amazing! You can walk through the Cast Courts where you can see\u00a0plaster casts\u00a0of sculptures from Renaissance Italy: David by Michelangelo, sculpture from San Petronio, Bologna or from the Duomo of Milan, but also the Santiago gate and\u2026 the Trajan’s column too. Really suggestive.<\/em>
\nHere in the museum you can see works of art in every kind of material: glass, silver, metals, ceramic\u2026 I loved the ceramics gallery<\/strong>. Outstanding display and cataloguing. The museum is a place where learn and study, for this reason objects can be made available for study by appointment in a\u00a0dedicated\u00a0room. This is unbelievable for Italian people.<\/em><\/p>\n

Non solo: il museo \u00e8 aperto al contemporaneo<\/strong> tanto da esporre opere realizzate nel 2012\/2013\/2014. In Italia stiamo ancora cercando di capire cosa significa contemporaneo nei musei.
\nNon solo.2: esiste un laboratorio<\/strong> dove si pu\u00f2 andare a lavorare la ceramica.
\nNon solo.3: vengono\u00a0ospitati artisti a cui viene dato uno studio<\/strong> dove possono lavorare all’interno del museo. In questo periodo l’artista in residenza \u00e8: Matthew Raw<\/a>. A tutti i miei amici ceramisti: tenete presente!!<\/p>\n

Plus: the museum is so open minded to contemporary art<\/strong> that they put on show artworks made in 2012\/2013\/2014. Currently in Italy we’re still trying to figure out what “contemporary” in a museum means.<\/em>
\nPlus.2: there is a lab<\/strong> where you can work with clay.<\/em>
\nPlus.3: the museum hosts artists providing them a studio<\/strong>\u00a0where to work inside the museum building itself. As for now, the artist in residence is:\u00a0Matthew Raw<\/a>. To all my friends who are into ceramics: keep it in your mind!!<\/em><\/p>\n

Riemersa dal V&A – anche rifocillata dalla bellissima caffetteria – ho proseguito il mio giro verso Knightsbridge<\/strong> tra bellissime case e negozi di design.<\/p>\n

After the V&A – I had lunch in the wonderful cafe – I headed to Knightsbridge<\/strong> walking across\u00a0cool shops and houses.<\/em><\/p>\n

Presa poi la metropolitana mi sono spostata per un giro di shopping in Oxford Street<\/strong> e Regent Street<\/strong> che adoro! Sono entrata da Liberty e tra sciarpe di cachemire pi\u00f9 costose della mia stessa vita tadaaaa, vi ricordate di Abigail Brown<\/a>? Ho visto dal vivo le sue creazioni! Davvero bellissime!<\/p>\n

I then went\u00a0by tube\u00a0to Oxford<\/strong> and Regent Street<\/strong> for a shopping tour, I love Regent Street! I entered to Liberty and I had a surprise: do you remember Abigail Brown<\/a>? I found there her creations! They’re so beautiful!<\/em><\/p>\n

Gi\u00e0 che ero l\u00ec ho fatto anche un giretto in Carnaby Street<\/strong>. Da piccola ero una grande appassionata di questa via! Quando per\u00f2 era ancora un po’ punk e swinging London. Oggi, dopo anni che non ci andavo, devo dire che un po’ mi ha deluso. E’ diventata esclusivamente commerciale dove tra l’altro i negozi italiani hanno una forte presenza. Alla sera mi sono ritrovata col Fili e dei suoi colleghi e siamo andati a cena da Byron<\/a> in Soho. Ottimi hamburger, locale molto carino e informale.<\/p>\n

I went also in Carnaby Street<\/strong>. In middle school I loved this place! But today it’s really commercial, I don’t like it very much now. In the evening I have dinner with Filippo and some of his colleagues, we went to Byron<\/a> in Soho. Great hamburger in a very nice and friendly place.<\/em><\/p>\n
