This summer, we had a trip around\u00a0the US <\/a>discovering architectural masterpieces and wonders of nature … but let’s start from the beginning: here it is how\u00a0we flew to the US<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You already know that my husband\u00a0Filippo<\/strong> is a\u00a0travel geek, for this trip he surprised me<\/strong>\u00a0… if you follow me on Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> you probably already know.<\/p>\n

He always says that any part of the journey has to be an unforgettable experience<\/strong>, even the flight (for him, especially the flight!), and that you can travel and fly in style\u00a0on a budget<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We flew to New York on one of the most exclusive flights in the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I received a lot of questions about this flight, so I asked Filippo\u00a0to\u00a0tells us about it<\/strong>\u00a0and how he did it.<\/p>\n

The flight from London City Airport to New York JFK<\/strong> is more like\u00a0a trip on a private plane than any other commercial flight in the world. On\u00a0this route, British Airways employs\u00a0the flight codes that were assigned to the supersonic flights of the London-New York Concorde<\/strong>: we traveled on the legendary BA001<\/strong>.
\nThis flight is perhaps one of the most exceptional in the world, and is definitely a unique way to cross the Atlantic. For this service, British Airways employs\u00a0only two 32-seats planes in business class configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The service is absolutely outstanding and it’s designed\u00a0to combine the convenience of a direct connection between the heart of London and the Big Apple, with a truly first-class experience<\/strong>, defined by the high\u00a0quality of the service and of the on-board catering .<\/p>\n

“It’s a very very special flight, you’ll see!”<\/strong>\u00a0this is what an Italian British Airways flight attendant told us\u00a0on\u00a0the plane we flew on to London.\u00a0She was 100% right<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The uniqueness of this flight is immediately visible\u00a0at the London City airport: there are check-in desks and an entire gate reserved\u00a0to the LCY-JFK Service. When we arrived at the gate 24 we soon realized that we were\u00a0in a lounge reserved for\u00a0the 32 passengers of BA001<\/strong>, with buffet and Champagne.<\/p>\n
