Sentirsi a casa dall’altra parte del mondo si pu\u00f2!<\/strong> Per la terza volta in due anni (certo, la seconda per un solo giorno, in\u00a0quel magico 1 aprile che vivemmo due volte!<\/a>) siamo tornati alle Hawaii<\/strong> e per la seconda volta nell’isola di Maui<\/strong>. Questa estate abbiamo fatto un viaggio indimenticabile in giro per gli Stati Uniti<\/a>, tra architettura, storia americana e natura, che vi racconter\u00f2 nei prossimi post.
\nCon ancora nel cuore\u00a0l’emozione\u00a0della nostra prima volta alle Hawaii,\u00a0siamo anche tornati nello stesso bed&breakfast<\/strong>, dagli amici Tamara e Bob.<\/p>\n

Feel at home on the other side of the world is totally possible!<\/strong> For the third time in two years (yes I know,\u00a0the second time was just for one day, that magical April, 1st that we lived twice!<\/a>) we returned to Hawaii<\/strong> and for the second time on the island of Maui<\/strong>. This summer we made an unforgettable trip around the United States<\/a>, between architecture, American history and nature, I will tell everything in the next posts.<\/em>
\nWe still had\u00a0in the heart the emotion of our first time in Hawaii, and we went back again in the same bed&breakfast<\/strong> too, at our hawaiian friends\u00a0Tamara and Bob.<\/em>\"maui-hawaii-bedandbreakfast-23\"\"maui-hawaii-bedandbreakfast-42\"<\/p>\n

Maui \u00e8 forse l’isola pi\u00f9 turistica delle Hawaii (dopo Honolulu certo!) ma anche qui esistono angoli di paradiso incontaminato<\/strong>. Uno di questi \u00e8 la Iao Valley,<\/strong> nel nord dell’isola. Una valle incantata<\/strong>, parco nazionale, luogo\u00a0che ha visto il re\u00a0Kamehameha – il re dei re hawaiiani – conquistare Maui (e unificare sotto il suo trono le Hawaii).<\/p>\n

Maui is probably the most tourist island of Hawaii (after Honolulu of course!) but, even here, there are unspoiled spots\u00a0of paradise<\/strong>. One of these is for sure the Iao Valley<\/strong>, in the North of the island. An enchanted valley<\/strong>, state\u00a0park, the place where\u00a0King Kamehameha – the Hawaiian King of Kings – conquered Maui (and unified all the islands under his throne).<\/em><\/p>\n

La Iao Valley Inn<\/strong> \u00e8 un posto magico! Tamara, Bob e il cane Mango, hawaiiani doc,<\/strong>\u00a0ci hanno ospitato nella loro meravigliosa casa, accogliendoci come vecchi amici. Qui tutto \u00e8 stupendo! Il giardino \u00e8 un vero parco botanico<\/strong> con piante da frutto e fiori che noi\u00a0possiamo solo sognare: frangipane, manghi, avocadi, papaie, orchidee, monstera, piante di caff\u00e8, banani, lilikoi (frutti della passione), zenzero… qui con Tamara ho imparato a riconoscere le piante pi\u00f9 esotiche!<\/strong> Per me, curiosa cronica e appassionata di piante, \u00e8 stato come sognare ad occhi aperti!<\/p>\n

La vera perla? Nel giardino c’\u00e8 anche una cascata<\/strong> che forma una piscina naturale dove si pu\u00f2 fare il bagno! Una meraviglia!<\/p>\n

The Iao Valley Inn<\/strong> is a magical place! Tamara, Bob and Mango, the dog<\/strong>, hosted us in their wonderful home, welcoming us like old friends. Everything here is wonderful! The “backyard”\u00a0is a real botanical garden<\/strong> with fruit trees and flowers that we can only dream of: plumeria, mangoes, avocados, papayas, orchids, monstera, coffee trees, banana trees, lilikoi (passion fruit), ginger… here I learnt\u00a0from Tamara\u00a0how\u00a0to recognize the most exotic plants!<\/strong> For me, chronic curious and botanical\u00a0enthusiastic, it was like a dream!<\/em><\/p>\n

Would you like to know which is the real treasure here?\u00a0In the garden there is a waterfall<\/strong> that forms a natural pool where you can swim!\u00a0Really amazing, this is how I imagine the paradise!<\/em><\/p>\n

Papaia! Questi frutti ci mettono circa 6 mesi per maturare e dopo 6\/8 anni la pianta muore. Pensate quante energie deve mettere per fare questi frutti giganti! \/ Papaya! These fruits take about 6 months to be ready. The plant dies after 6\/8 years. Think of how much energy the tree has to put into these giant fruits!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00c8 Tamara che tutte le mattina ci fa trovare la colazione: una mezza papaia a testa, banane, mango, frutti della passione… tutta frutta che raccoglie direttamente dal suo giardino<\/strong>! Inutile dire che non ho mai mangiato nulla di pi\u00f9 buono!<\/p>\n

Every morning Tamara prepares our\u00a0breakfast: papaya, banana, mango, passion fruit … all she can\u00a0collect directly from her\u00a0garden<\/strong>! I have never eaten anything better!<\/em><\/p>\n

Se vi capita (e ve lo auguro con tutto il cuore) di passare da Maui, andate a fare visita a Tamara e Bob, allo\u00a0Iao Valley Inn<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0Quando i figli sono usciti di casa, hanno convertito le loro bellissime camere (con accessi indipendenti) in un meraviglioso bed&breakfast,<\/strong> proprio per far conoscere e condividere con i turisti la loro bella isola.<\/p>\n

Qui si pu\u00f2 fare esperienza della vera vita hawaiiana, qui si prova il significato vero dell’Aloha, l’accoglienza.<\/strong><\/p>\n
