You can observe the changing of Nature day by day. You can see the blooming of a flower live. But which is the sound of the growing grass? Designers from Studio Feld based in Berlin realized this prototype to hear this sound.

The growth of the grass generates different electrical pulses similar to heartbeats. The more advanced the growth of the plant, the slower and stronger the pulse develops. My engineer husband tried to explain it to me speaking about conductivity of the root system and nutrients… I didn’t understand much…

Even if you don’t know, you already know the Feld studio: they are famous for the ‘Kinetic Rain’, the amazon installation at Changi Airport in Singapore! A ‘copper’ raindrops dance really touching!
